YVRFTF SEASON 2!

Are you ready to shake off your winter hibernation and practice being social again? Do you have desires to explore events in the city but don't want to do it alone? Want to socialize but everyone you know is busy?

Vancouver Fun Time Friends just might be the crew for you!

It doesn't cost anything (except your own cover and drinks, but you would have had to pay that anyway), you don't need to commit to more than just what events you are interested in and you can decide to drop in last minute...no need to RSVP this season.

Tuesday March 1st, 7PM - Vibe Corridor at The Boxcar
Wednesday March 2nd, 9PM - SNAG Art Raffle at The Cobalt
Thursday March 3rd, 9PM - Pub Trivia at Yagger's Kits
Sunday March 6th, 7:30PM - The Sunday Service at The Fox Cabaret

Just show up any time during the event, introduce yourself to social facilitator Tash (easily identified by her signature cat eye style glasses) and join the fun! Tash is a friendly and supportive pal to be out with at these events so if you're shy or nervous, she will be sure to keep the conversation going when you don't know what to say or do a silly dance just to fill an empty dance floor.

YVRFTF S1R2E1

Join Tash, your Vancouver Fun Time Friends (YVRFTF) hang out coordinator, at Havana Restaurant at 7 for a beverage and a chat and then move to the adjoining Havana Theatre for a night of local comedy with the Laugh Gallery around 8 (show at 9 but we can get our tickets and choose seats earlier). Pay for your own drink and entrance to the show ($5 cash), but the conversation and company are free! We especially welcome shy or quiet folk who may want to explore more of the city. This is a social project to inspire friendliness in Vancouver and after our last successful round in the Fall of 2014, we are excited to get Round 2 of this first season under way!

This event is located at 1212 Commercial Drive. The #20 bus will help you get there from the Skytrain. If you have any questions, please email yvr.ftf@gmail.com or tweet @YVRFTF and Tash will connect in the afternoon/evening.

Space is on a first come, first served basis. YVRFTF encourages responsible drinking.

Where?

Where shall we gather? Venues I have been to that have proven to be a good atmosphere. I am always open to suggestions! I will try to vary the neighbourhoods we meet up in and will favour places that are accessible by public transit.

What?

What is this really about?

A weekly event planned and organised by Vancouver Fun Time Friends with an open invite to anyone who wants to attend.

This is not a business; YVR FTF is more of a proposed solution to a previously identified problem. We have no direct associations with any of the promoters, venues or artists/performers.

You can label us a social league or even some sort of club, but, REALLY, we are just people getting together to have fun more than anything else.

Who?

Who exactly is silly enough to try to change Vancouver's reputation? Just a lifelong Vancouverite lady in her early 30s named Tash. Fascinated with how culture in Vancouver evolves too quickly for the average person to keep up with. Friendly, approachable (when she wants to be) and very talkative. Especially interested in music and comedy events, but excited to explore other activities. Looking forward to see who will participate! Mostly jazzed about getting to say "fun time friend" on such a regular basis. Likes to write bios in the 3rd person. Promises not to speak in the 3rd person.
